All the over-wintered seeds are germinating and it's time to prick them out and set the spring ones. It's a cold greenhouse and right now it's very cold.
This morning ..ice age, heatwave =drought for some, then floods, then expensive foods, then nothing left , then riots , then rain, floods, winter haaaaaaaa JOY
Hi woo, all those seeds that germinate after a chilling, Angelica gigas, a couple of daphnes, euonymus, rosa rugosa. These are up. About 20 of something or other, still waiting for some.
Ranunculaceae, apiaceae, and primroses etc all do well like that and lots of shrubs.
And in the middle of winter I sowed all the aquilegias, now germinating, some codonopsis, various strange things I found in the Chiltern and Plant world seeds catalogues.
Hi nut, I recognise euonymus, primrose and aquilegia.....lol that's about my limit....a relatively novice gardener.what I lack in knowledge I make up for in enthusiasm! Seems you have been quite busy, and now reaping the rewards, well done you.
Knowledge will come with experience, I've still got a long way to go.
There's a lot of experience on this site. I took lessons in taking cuttings when I first came. Never had a lot of luck there. I shall soon know if the lessons worked. All the cuttings are lined up out there, in and out of the cold greenhouse according to the weather.
