Looks a bit like Solomon's seal, but now I've looked it up, I'm wrong - sorry.

Looks like Solomon's seal, Polygonatum x hybridum.  Lovely woodland plant, not especially fussy, but likes part shade.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Solomon's seal. Hardy as anything and best outside.

Best out of the pot Helen, they grow big roots.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

And watch for sawfly - the adults are jet black and lay eggs which turn into hundreds of grey caterpillar like things which can decimate the foliage in just a couple of days:

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
