We used to go to Hampton Court on the Sunday. It always had a nice "last day of term" feel about and the exhibitors well always more relaxed, albeit tired, than the first couple of days.
And you can often get some bargains at the sell off.
I worked on the construction of a garden there once and had a "pass" to take my van on site during set up and break down. I was tempted to go on the Monday and have a good rummage .
I'm going to Chelsea this year - with my sisters and my Dad. We have been going for the last few years and always have a lovely time. We are all lucky to live close enough to get there and back quite easily, so we always go for the afternoon only tickets. By about 6pm most of the day ticketers have gone home exhausted, so its much easier to wander round the show gardens (its open til 8). Makes the tickets a bit cheaper too
