  • Thanks everyone -

Blue onion - I must admit it makes me giggle every time I see it myself. It's a terrible website for changing the spelling of words image

I made hypertufa alpine planters using the polystyrene fish boxes as a mould. Covered them inside and out with the mix and they lasted for years. Your local fish and chip shop might get their fish delivered in them. That's where I got mine. They were about 18inches by 12 inches. And about 8 inches deep.

  • Thanks hogweed - I've been on YouTube all evening and watched some good videos. Ive also seen videos of using a cemented rhubarb leaf as a water feature. Just need a bit of spare time to myself now....image

I made concrete planters and they have held up very well. I usually either use a 3:1 sand and cement mix or 3:1 ballast and cement mix. Heres the link to my post:

I just have an image of a medieval battle.  Would be a good machine to pebble dash a wallimage

Have been thinking about something like this to repair a broken bird bath.  The stem's OK but the bowl disintegrated.  (Don't think it's called a stemimage) That's gardening for youimage.
