camellia

I have a black dust/powder on my Camellia leaves. What is this and can it be treated? If i wipe it off it re-appears.

Flowering well at the moment.

    it  maybe a kind of mould because it has got humidly damp or a virus ,camellias need watering in autumn to stop brown marks forming and also in spring.to treat your mould you can wipe it clean (and if in doors ventilate the room) and I treat mine with a drink of garlic water (1 clove in 6 pints of water left for 2 days befrore use) .Garlic kills virus s . image

    The most likely reason for the black on the leaves of your camellia, is that is has scale insects, you should be able to see them on the under side of the leaves, if you can see them you will have to use an insecticide.
