    Think this was something that invaded my garden a few weeks ago.

    Tried I'd ing it online. No luck.

    Yes it grows quite profusely, I thought astrantia but leaf shape doesn't seem right.

    That was my first thought Mark but it doesn't look quite right.

    Not an astrantia though.

    If it isn't Wood Avens, it might be another Geum - many of them look similar when young.  Wait until it flowers - if small and yellow it's Wood Avens and I'd have it out before it sets seed otherwise you'll have it forever!  If any other colour it's worth keeping.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Thanks for everyones help, I'll go and check out the ones that are lower down in the valley, they may have flowers on them sooner.

    hi, this is only just starting to flower and it's small yellow flower so Wood Avens, and it does rather take over! Thanks everyone

    My moneys on it being some sort of Geum.
