Wisteria not flowering
My wisteria had two or three flowers for the first time two years ago. Last year a few more. This year no blossom but plenty of leaves. I have clematis in the same area which do very well. Could it be the wisteria doesn't like the general fertilizer that I feed the clematis?

Unlikely. Its probably more likely the pruning regime.
I agree with fidget. I have a standard wisteria. That refused to flower.Kill or cure I cut it right back to old wood, and paniced slightly. It put out new shoots that spring, and the following year it flowered its head off.
I cut back to 5 buds in autumn then to three before growth starts in spring works every time.Don't prune too hard.Cut it back to old wood make it produce new growth then prune as normal,if its not flowering your not loosing anything.
Taking everything your saying on board. I thought I had pruned as per the book but will read up again for next time. Thanks for your help
