Lilac - few flowers, viburnum no flowers & camassia few flowers! Why?

last year my lilac was wonderful, deadheaded but that's all and only a very few blooms. The same with the viburnum - last year wonderful April 7! This year nothing ...& the camassia which I've had in the ground for years with wonderful blooms but this year only one or two! Is it time to call quits - with the camasska at least?

Maybe they are hungry? Do you put down any slow relase fertilisers annually?
So you only deadheaded the lilacbut didn't prune, correct?
Mind put out a ton of blooms last year (their second year), but less this year.. they've decided to grow several feet taller instead. This year's few blooms are actually hidden amounst this years growth.
Is it possible it got frosted and dropped the tiny flower buds? This has happened to me with all my fruit trees last year. It's like they never even flowered at all.
