Ideas for a "Blank Canvas"
Hi, I am moving into a new house soon but the garden is a complete blank canvas with only a few flag stones and the rest is top soil. It is fairly bigish but I have no idea where to start. I want low maintenance, not keen on putting a lawn down and would quite like a water feature of some kind. The garden is west facing so it will have a lot of sun and we have patio furniture. Any ideas of where to begin??

Do you have a photo
Hard to answer as so much depends on your personal taste, type of soil, amount of sun and shade. How bigish? There are books available about garden design and pictures if you search on the internet. A photo would be helpful.
I thought of this with the small water feature at the back, if you go on the internet and type images of low maintenance garden,it comes up with loads of ideas
, hope this helps
Flumpy 1 that is just amazing, Thankyou. It is just the type of template I needed to get my thought process kicked into action!!!
Well done Flumpy. I've had a look, there's lots there - with and without grass.
