I've just been taking a look at Shoot Gardening web site. I wondered if anyone is a member and if so what's your opinion of it. I can't decide whether I would find it useful or not. At £3.00 a month subscription it's not a fortune but on the other hand I don't want to waste money.

I find the how to grow section a useful reference source and I guess there is a wider community of gardeners if you subscribe, I never have for same reasons as you

Can you access areas without being a member? I've tried and it just asks me to sign up for a 30 day free trial. I have done this but you are limited to what you can do before signing up for a full subscription. I believe it used to be free.
I've never had access without the need to subscribe, kind of puts me off really
Certain bits of it look quite interesting and in theory you could keep all your gardening infor etc on their but if you do then you are basically tying yourself into the site which is the part that bothers me.
Agreed. I found it when I was looking for an online design program a few yrs back, but ended up using pencil and paper and now store all my data on my own pc
