when to plant out these veg seedlings?

Hello all,

Would a kind and well-seasoned veg gardener please let me know if it is safe to plant out the following seedlings (once hardened off)? Basically, will a frost kill them off?

I live in Buckinghamshire. All plants are well established in individual pots and a decent "young plant" size.

Savoy cabbage

onions

lettuce

rocket

cavalo nero

courgettes

butternut squash

onions

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Hi New Allotmenteer. Cabbage and onions are toughties so can go in without problem, although I would cover the cabbage with fleece to protect them from cabbage white, etc. I have lettuce growing under cloches but am holding back on the courgettes and squash until the weather improves a little. Beans are usually planted out in late spring when the frosts are over because they are tender. If I sow rocket for summer use I place it in shade due to the fact that heat (and lack of water) will make the plant go to seed. Sowing rocket seed in late summer is better. Cavalo Nero plants should be planted out when they are around seven weeks old, taking care not to damage the roots.

I hope this is of some help. Good growing.

Courgettes and winter squash are not hardy at all.
