Lemon tree disease

Hi there,

Bit of a plea for help from all you citrus growers out there!

After a successful winter during which my lemon tree looked healthy, we've arrived in spring and I've started getting fairly significant leaf drop and yellowing and black spotting on some leaves (please see photo). I suspect that I've been over watering but I've also suspect magnesium deficiency.

Does anyone have any advice? I would be very grateful.

Yellowing of leaves can be due to cold, iron deficiency or a virus. Try using a specific citrus feed. Citrus plants should only be lightly watered during the winter months and appreciate a monthly nitrogen feed when fruiting.
