Hey more seeds up calendula popped up today I sowed them just under 2 weeks ago, not done them this early before but worth it when you see the seeds growing.
Yes. Another lot. One of the paeonies. Mudan hybrids. This will be a wait and see experience. Could be anything. They were a 2 year germination. Usually are if I buy them. If i sow home grown seed fresh then they come up the following spring.
More of my honesty seeds have come up bit by bit I think these seeds appear, still waiting for the proper leaves to come up. Long time for those seeds to germinate nutcutlet I suppose if fresh they germinate quicker
Think they must do Gardengirl. The books say that in the first year the root grows and in the second the shoot but I've never found a root after the first year.
I'm waiting for the next emergence now.
I've spotted some variegated honesty getting ready to flower this year so you'll get another supply anyway, whatever the current batch turn out to be.
Hello nutcutlet 3 yrs ago I sowed larkspur in the garden in April and ive never sown any since. They are abit like love in a mist once you have the flowers they then seed everywhere. They are very hardy as im in Hungary where our temps can get down to -16 with 2 ft of snow but it doesnt do them any harm except to squash them abit with the weight of the snow. When I last looked in October I had as many at 200 seedlings and they all came from 3 flower stalks from a friends garden. So just sow like any hardy annuals when the soil begins to warm up.
