Poorly Pear Tree

Can anyone please tell me when my Conference Pear Tree should flower, I planted this young tree last Spring, and it seemed to be doing fine, the buds started to appear, then maybe the winds got it? but it stopped shooting, now it is just sitting dormant, its not dead, but its not looking good either.  Help what do I do now.?

  • Thank you for your reply.  They must be leaf buds, they are there still but some of the tips look brown and maybe wind burnt.  Do you perhaps think that I may have only lost this years growth then?

My Concorde pear has been planted 3 years now and is flowering for the first time - pears are slow to get gowing - there's an old saying, You plant pears for your heirs.

Modern grafting has meant that this saying isn't quite as relevant as it was, but patience is still needed.

I'm sure yours is fine. image

  • Thank you every one I will just have to show a little patience then.image
