When to prune zebra grass?

    Similar but not quite.  Miscanthus Strictus does not flop like Zebrinus but stands bolt upright.

    I've got the Strictus, which is great as I like upright grass. When I searched them on the net it combined the names which confused me...image

    I didn't even use to like them but now I have 6 and two small ones in my pokey little garden - none in the front though...hmm...image

    I didn't get to prune my zebra grass back this spring due to construction project.  Wondering if I can prune it back now in late July?  I'm in South Carolina.
