On inspecting the walled garden today in prep of fleecing tender plants before tonight's frosts I was upset to see my adored Actinidia kolomikta has been frosted
never happened before and been in 8 years, what should I do?
there are a few shoots unharmed but I fear it may be too late for new?

Well it's hardy down to about minus 10 and lower so I wouldn't worry too much. It will recover.
More damage is done by minus 1 degree in late April than by minus 10 in January. But generally it's only superficial and the plant is fine.
