Please help me identify this plant/weed

Hello all, please can anyone tell me whether these are weeds or plants as they are springing up in my border? I am pretty sure I did not plant them so I am guessing they are a weed?
Any help would be brilliant thanks!

It could be 'Pale Persicaria' which is a weed but I believe that there are also cultivated forms of persicaria
