Whats the best sand for growing carrots

    Carrots like a light sandy soil, but not just sand - not enough nourishment. In reality most soils except heavy clay or very stony will work.

    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • I just use a mix of 35% sand and 65% compost. They can push through it so you get lovely carrots image
