i want to grow lettuce in window box...what can i put with it that looks pretty?

Nasturtiums, you can eat the flowers and the leaves too.
Pansies or violas, pot marigold, for edible flowers, chard 'Bright lights' for decorative edible leaves or beetroot for leaves and roots.
Why not try some of the prettier 'lettuces'? e.g. Lollo Rosso and Red Oak leaf - alternated with Little Gems they'd look really pretty
