Aerating Lawn Sandals

Has any one tried these please? I know they look a bit strange but do they actually work? I know the 'forking' method is better but it is such a huge job. image

    Hi Meomye image

We had a discussion about this a while back - think the general consensus was that they don't really work

I shall be out there with my fork - mind your toes!!!

Thanks for link, I thought they looked useless, had an image of just walking straight out of them whilst they stayed in the soil image I have considered hiring an aerater that takes the 'plugs' out as I believe my lawn prob's to be due to compaction.
