watercress containers?

Hello a while back I potted up some bits of supermarket watercress (outta reduced bargain bin) the plants have grown but still very small, is this size of container or still early in season, there is a plant each in half a 4pint milk bottle.
Just tried some and it tastes amazing so would like to help it as much as possible

I grew it in self watering troughs meant to be window boxes, kept it well watered and frequently emptied the water from the bottom so it didn't get stagnant but kept the roots well wet
