Hi everyone, I have another plant ID request. There are a few of these plants in our garden but I'm not sure whether this a weed or not. could you help?
Well, those were my thoughts too - I wonder what it looks like under those leaves - whether there's a potential spike of flowers coming, or whether it's going to spread and trail - any possibility of a photo of what's underneath?

I'll have a look under the leaves when I get home. We only moved into the house in January so I have no idea what happened before we got there. There are so many plants in the garden that I don't recognise!
My inclination is to leave it and let it grow...the leaves are large and pleasant shaped, so worth it for foliage alone. It does remind me of a few things but also nothing in particular.

What did you have last year, (or the year before) that might have seeded? Or seeded from next door?

If that's a hollyhock (and it's what it looks most like to me) I want to know what fertiliser you've been using!!!

If that was a hollyhock in my garden you'd be able to see the rust
I doubt if it's a weed Cheryl, unless it's in the way of your gardening plans I'd leave it and see what develops.
