I grow lots of blue flowered plants. What's your favourite? How about linum perenne to start? In summer, and grown next to santolina lemon fizz....yellow foliage....and behind a yellow osteospermum it is a real eye catcher all summer long.
well,I like to see a wood of bluebells, also grape Hyacintha's are lovely with the perfume, dutch iris the small ones, and of course clematis Mr young can look pretty good too!
I have a lot of cornflowers in my front cottage garden. I find seeds from packets do not always work that well. A few years back I brought a couple of plants then when they died off I collected the seeds and scattered them in the garden at the same time as they would normally drop from the plant when it had died. I now do this every year with my cornflower plants and always have a good show.
Not exotic but delphiniums are great plants and there are some fantastic shades of blue out there. I also have a fair few hardy geraniums which should be flowering very soon, given a bit of sunshine, very easy plants that give a lot.
