Wilting dahlia
I need some dahlia advice - one of my plants has been wilting and noticed that some of the leaves have brown patches appearing. Had a look over it and cant see any bugs and popped it out of the pot and no bugs in there either. Its kept in a greenhouse over night and out side in the day. I thought it was maybe full sun making it wilt but I have put it in a bit of shade and it still wilts, so I don't thinks its happy. Does anyone know what might be causing it and what the cure might be?

Does it need water or some feeding that's what it looks like.
Seems to have enough water when I got it out of its pot... I could try feeding it, just looks sick... might be a virus or something
It's hungry Lee. Dhalia's need food and lots of it. A general purpose feed for now, then a high potash feed once the flowers come.
I would agree with Verdun, I dont agree with keep feeding plants, my dahlias are started of in any old rubbish compost, from last year tubs or anything that falls off when I repot. When they get planted out they will get some home made compost put round them.
If you feel you want to feed it, wait until it gets flower buds, if you feed if first you will just get lots of green, try putting it in a bigger pot, depending On how tight the roots are.
Hard gardener me! I like to make my plants work.
Thanks for the replies, I will bring it in the house for a few days and see if the warm perks it up, if not I will feed it.... fingers crossed
