    Criss, I think you will get more results from a new thread, you'll only get people expecting runner beans here!

  • We grew runners on a very exposed site last year in West Wales - they went in late, but had a really great crop. Not so many leaves but really heavy with tasty beans. Giving Polestar a go this year, along with trusty Enorma image

    I find french beans do better in hotter weather. Try some of the white seeded ones, they have some french bean genetics in there.  (white Emergo or white lady)
