Provado ultimate bug killer. One spray now will last the season. It is systemic and kills the larvae that cause so much damage. I dont repeat spray, so the insecticide has worn off by the time the flowers open. If you see any red beetles, squash them. They are alien invaders and have no predators in UK.
Is provado safe for bees? I have ben picking Lily beetles off my snakehead fritillarys, whilst they are in flower and the bees definitely visit the flowers.

I think you just have to pick them off and dispose of them.

I had to stop growing lilies and crown imperials because of those little red beasties - thanks for the provado advice, I might have another go
