Non flowering azalea

Peanuts3Peanuts3 Posts: 759

Lasy year I bought a Deciduous Azalea Homebush.  It flowered last year, this year the leaves are coming back on it, but no sign of any flowers. It says it flowers May to June.  Is it too early to tell ?

It is in a pretty shady area that gets afternoon / evening sun, and it says it prefers full sun.  Will the lack of sun affect getting flowers ?

If so I'll move it, but just really wanted a rhodo / azalea out the front. So was trying to wing it.  We have lots of rhodo's out the back.

Any advice gratefully received.  thank you.
