Have a clematis joe, against fence on trellis facing west. Previous years flowered in abundance, this year loads of buds but as yet no flowers ! To me doesn't looked diseased, pls help , it's wife Josephine looking sad !!!

Hello Sarah, I don't know where you live but have you kept it well watered? It's been so dry in most places that it may well have just stopped still until it gets some moisture - my wisteria seems to have done the same, one truss is blooming, the rest - nil. I did read somewhere that clematis need 2 gallons every few days.
Thank you fellow gardeners, I have watered this week and fed a seaweed solution, but maybe I didn't water as much in previous weeks, will keep you posted, will hang on a while, I will tell Josephine !
