My daughter sent me picture today. No idea what the plant in the photo is unless her red hot pokers have somehow "seeded" themselves. She has a toddler under three so we need to find out what they are. She lives in a rented house. Let me know if i can attach the photo. Thank you.

My guess is the same as Nutcutlet's - from your description it's horsetail - but to upload a picture from your pc you click on the green tree icon on the toolbar above where you type your post.
