    My red cabbages are brilliant but the only pest seems to be a type of 'earthworm' that bores holes almost to the centre. They seem to inhabit potatoes aswell.
    Any idea how I can stop this and still keep a healthy soil?

    HI I have just started to harvest my red cabbage and found loads of earth/manure worms in between the leaves which has put the wife of using them any cures.

    mine is called redbor and it's an f1 variety. haven't sown it yet, cos i missed the window of opportunity before I got my plot, but i can't wait.
    my plot is going to look really peculiar with red cabbage, purple carrots, yellow cucumber, white peppers, white aubergines, magenta sprouts and all sort of all weird and wonderful stuff...
