    I agree. The seed pods look the same as those on google images. Yay I am moving house soon and wanted to know what it was so that I could buy a new one at the house. Many Thanks for that Hostafan image and nutcutlet for confirming image

    If you have limited space in the new place, there's another Cercis which has similar flowers but purple leaves and doesn't grow as large, Cercis canadensis (aka Eastern redbud.)

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
