fern not growing

I have a fern which is about 3 years old but it aint growing or any fresh growth. The foliage is as I planted it. Should I feed it , trim it , or cut my losses and dig it out which im reluctant to do. It just looks tired

    What type of fern is it?  What are it's conditions?  Do you water and/or feed it?

    It is watered regular and its in shade against a fence. Yep no new leaves in 3 years since I planted it. I know it's strange but its as I planted it.
