Have you got them wrapped now? They will probably look manky but they should recover. What kind of conifers? If they are Leylandii?
there not wrapped. there potted and placed on my gable end, only one has browned but the other is still a healthy green. wat should i wrap them with /
It's probably too late for the one that's gone brown. If they're potted could you move them to a less exposed place?

unfortunatly, living in the north west of cumbria means 'no hiding from the weather',the wind comes from every angle around my house.
Do you know what they are? Are they new or have they survived outside on previous winters.

not sure what variety they are,but they,ve been outside for years, never had a problem til now
I doubt if they would benefit from wrapping up, not sure conifers like that. If they've been there years this winter is unlikely to have done for them. Was it a sudden browning off? Are you sure it's windburn, has the whole thing browned off? If it has it's had it, conifers don't come back from that

I assumed they were new plants. Hessian is the material to wrap newly planted conifers with. But it depends on what size they are. But if they are in pots and you are sure it is wind burn, clump them together and wrap with hessian or get a roll of the material they use on builing sites which I assume is cheaper than Enviromesh.
thanks
