Thanks, I wasn't going to try and dig it up, it's more that I want to plant stuff and need to dig a hole to do so. I have such a tiny outbreak, just three to six stems each year, this year three so far, and they are only getting to about a maximum 6 inches high before I cut them. My partner thinks I am completely over reacting. I will inject glyphosate each year until there are no stems appearing but if I get a year without evidence is it then safe to dig into the area and put shrubs etc in? Should I attack the stems when short or let them get taller before cutting and injecting? two of the stems are about 2 inches tall at the moment, the other about 6 inches.
