What is this please

Hi everyone, 

Can anyone please tell me what this is. I took it from outside my mums house because she kept forgetting to water it. She has now sadly passed away so I want to make sure it survives.

    It looks very much like a Skimmia to me.  Hope someone can confirm or come up with a better ideaimage.
