Aquilegia

I understand this may be an aquilegia but wondered if anyone could tell me which type it is?

    It is an Aquilegia, but you cannot tell which one until it flowers and even then most of them are the same species.

    Ok - thank you very much - i will have to be patient and wait for the flowers! I seems to re-seed it self well. I did move someyeaterday so i hope that it survives!

    I think you can assume, from all the purple in the stems, that it won't be a white one

  • The best thing about Aquilegia is the self seeding.. and waiting to see what the new plant will look like. I've got loads of them all over the garden, great plants.

    Like the hellebores mine have seeded for years. I'm now weeding out the dirty pinks and dingy mauves.image
