When my daughter was at primary school they tested her to check if she was left side dominant by getting her to kick a football and catch a small ball .After she proved she was she was allowed to write with her left hand Good job they didn't get her to dig the garden or we may never have known???
I'm so right sided it's laughable - can do hardly anything with my left hand, use my right foot for digging, kicking off on my bike, kicking balls etc etc. When I had physio a few years ago I was advised to try to use my left side a bit more as the muscles on the RH side of my back were so overdeveloped.
My mother in law is naturally left handed but was forced to use her right hand at school - consequently she is fairly ambidextrous. My OH is right handed but does quite a few things left handed (genes?) including using a knife in his left hand. He can easily swap to using his left hand when doing DIY etc if it makes access easier
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I'm also right handed and footed but when one side aches I try the other, with interesting results. There is no way I'd use a sharp knife in my left.
My Dad used to get the cane for writing with his left hand Thank goodness times have changed. OH is left handed but can't write legibly with either. Older son can change hands depending on the task and younger son is right handed. He doesn't do much after work so it's hard to tell
