in Problem solving

Hi I'm looking for advice on moving my large Fatzia from the front garden to a new area,  It's aprrox 6 foot tall and 4 foot across,  How deep do i need to dig down? How do I move it without damaging it, any tips? Thanks

    ah thanks so much, I was afraid to make a start but it sounds like it can take a bit of stress, rough handling, so I'll give it a go. Happy Gardening

    The standard advice would to be dig the new hole first and then dig out the plant with as big a rootball as you can manage. Transfer, give it a general purpose feed and keep well watered for at least through the summer. If it is going into a windy position I would stake it as well for the first year and copious amounts of water.
