You can grow perovskia from seed. 'Blue Spire' may not come totally true.

I;ve been trying to get hold of seed too but given up for the moment and decided to get a plant and take cuttings instead....except everywhere I've tried has sold out! I don't care what variety - just need something for my dry garden.

Try and buy 'fine tuned' seeds as they come pre-chilled. I sowed a couple of trays 3 weeks ago and every one germinated within 3-5 days.
Ignore me, I've had a long day at the allotment, and am now talking out of the wrong orifice.

I sowed verbena to go with the 3 perovskia Little Spire plants I have.
I was just thinking whatever are you going to do with a couple of trays of it!!!
Thanks Nut -
may try that when I get back to England, but just discovered the wonderful nursery near Meze will save me some small plants at about a pound each, if I order them, and I can pick them up in the autumn when we are here (I'm currently in my Languedoc garden, which will be in drought from June to the start of September).
A pound each for Perovskia? Wow!
ah but it's not a garden centre - it's a grower, so the plants will be small, but that's what I need here as large plants just don't ever establish - plus there are some nice restaurants near Meze which specialise in oysters and mussels grown in the lagoon there so it makes the drive worthwhile.
