I would like to put dahlias - The Bishop of Llanduff - in a rather shady flower bed but will they flower at all or must they have full sun? They would only get a few hours of morning sunshine.
they might flower a bit but on the other hand they will be prey to mildew and all the other rots and fungus to which dahlias are ever so prone.
Thanks - I will give up on that idea . Just wanted a tall red flower in that bed. Must think of something else.
astilbe for spring and lobelia cardinalis for later-what are you doing up so late? or is it early? i'm in nevada so it is still early evening here.
Thank you - the lobelia is a great idea. I know that my local nursery has some.
