leaves slashed???

Hello Everyone

I've planted corn out the other day and when i've been checking it some of them look like there leaves have been slashed is this normal or have slugs been at them.

    Do you have a picture?  Slashing makes me think it might be birds.

     If you zoom in middle left and bottom left all the others look ok

    As it's only that one, and not the entire batch (so wouldn't be wind damage).. I'd guess birds.  Could you get a good close up of that plant?  Is any material missing, or just a slash in the leaves?

    Its just the leaves.
