Rhodendron bed

Hi all

I am about to create a bed of rhododendrons and I'd like some advice about what to put on top of the geotextile once it's all planted up.  I don't want to use mulch or gravel or bark chips but I'd like something quite decorative as these are dwarf rhodies and the ground will intentionally be visible between them.  The bed is 15m long and about 2m wide, btw.  Thanks!

How about slate? It comes in different colours so you can find one to accent your rhodies.

Mmm.. crushed slate is beautiful, particular the dark grey when it is wet with rain.  That would go perfect with the pink flowers.

What about some sort of growing ground cover?
