plant ID help

tomatustomatus Posts: 27

Greetings,

I'm trying to identify these plants, can anyone help?

They originated as small dark spikes poking up, and now are green with little flower heads starting to form, similar to a blue bell or something.

They look like Lily of the Valley to me.  I love them - beautiful scent and lovely in a little vase on the table.  Some people think they're too invasive but I wish they'd grow in this garden.

Took me seven years to get them to grow here, now they are everywhere, including many areas where I did not plant them!!  Love them though, and although they do spread, they are easy enough to pull up or plant between.

I think a certain amount of entropy is paramount in any garden.

Its one of the instructive elements that i find gardens and nature offer: in this case, don't try and control everything !
