fruit covering

Hello there, I have managed to get hold of some barrier netting for my new allotment, and apart from wind screening, which we definately need as we are so open, could I make use of it over my fruit, strawberries and other berries as a cage or would it be too dark. I know it may be a silly question but hey ho. .Thanks folks.

Hi Edd, whoops sorry, my mistake, it is the other stuff from building sites, debris netting, so the holes are quite small, too small for birds. to get through. They hang it from scaffolding. Mine is blue, haha, so a change from all the green and black netting on the allotment.
Thanks for that. flowerbunny. I don't think it will make them sweat as it is not a plastic type of netting, I will give it a go, if it doesn't work, I have others strawberries on another patch, so I will see which does better. A good experiment.
