Any idea what this is?

in Plants
Is this perhaps a foxglove or just a weed? Any advice welcome. Thanks.

Leaves look like Foxglove but the plant itself is a bit too open and straggly. Not sure what else it could be.
a salvia maybe?

Thank you both, least it doesn't seem to be a weed!
Could it be a wild salvia or clary? There are lots growing in my paddocks, less than an hour from you. http://gallery.nen.gov.uk/asset64116-.html
Thanks Lizzy, thik I will just have to keep an eye on it & see what id grows into.
This unknown plant is now flowering - does it make the ID any easier?
I still think it's clary, salvia family. Do it's leaves have any smell? There are white ones as well as blue.
Salvia turkestanica?

yep.
Thank you all, at last an unknown plant that is a flower not a weed!
