Any idea what this is?

Is this perhaps a foxglove or just a weed? Any advice welcome. Thanks. image

  • Leaves look like Foxglove but the plant itself is a bit too open and straggly. Not sure what else it could be.

Could it be a wild salvia or clary? There are lots growing in my paddocks, less than an hour from you. http://gallery.nen.gov.uk/asset64116-.html

This unknown plant is now flowering - does it make the ID any easier?

I still think it's clary, salvia family. Do it's leaves have any smell? There are white ones as well as blue.
