flooded garden
Firstly Hello everyone.
I have a garden which is on heavy clay and alongside my garden is woodland and full of ponds which overflow from time to time and fill my garden through the clay which has some cracks in it, I know this as I had a trench dug down about 4 feet and you could see water coming out of the clay yet it was dry at the time I want to put my caravan on some of the garden but I am at a loss as to what to do to solve the flooding.
I am getting some drain pipes which I intend to lay with a slight fall back into the woods. Do you think this would sort the problem out.
Thanks in advance of any replies

Thanks Pansyface,
I have spoken to a friend who works for an engineering company on the railway and he deals with flooding and told me to try out the French drain system first and see if the ground dries out and only then start thinking about putting a caravan on the garden as it would require firm footings.
