I bought two chrysanthemums last year and put them in two planters, do I cut all the dead branches off now? And will it grow back? image

Hi Flumpy.  I had 6 chrysanthemums for the first time last year.  I cut the branches right down after they had finished flowering last December and mulched them and now the new branches are about a foot high.  Is there any new growth on yours?  I think you should cut the old branches back to allow for the new growth but wait until someone more experienced than me comes along and they will be able to help you.

Ok, I think you'll be safe cutting all the old stuff off then, replace some of the top compost with new stuff and I usually put in some slow release granules cos I'm hopeless at remembering to feed them image
