Bay Tree Problem
Hi all,
I have a small standard bay tree in a pot, about 18 inches tall. I only just unwrapped it from its winter protection (we get quite cold here). It's certainly alive, but several of the leaves have gone half brown (the tip end) and the growing tip at the top of the plant seems to have dried out and died. There are plenty of other places where fresh growth seems to be coming through, so I guess I can just create a new leader from one of the side branches.
But does anyone have a guess as to what might have happened? Could it have just been the cold? We've had several weeks constantly below freezing this winter.
Many thanks!

Thanks both! Sounds like nothing too bad to worry about then!
I find that my potted bay responds very well to a regular spraying of diluted seaweed liquid during the late spring and summer - perks it up no end
