Reading everyone's threads about growing vegetables this year is making me so envious. This is what my vegetable garden looks like at the moment:
The contractors originally told us they would be finished by the end of February. Still, at least they're now saying they will start paving next week so I might finally be able to reinstate the greenhouse and clear the vegetable bed.

Looking good. Could you do a bit of spring gardening in pots, in the meantime? That way you can move them when you're able, but can still get your 'gardening' fix. I spent a few years in an apartment, with only a tiny space near our steps to garden. (Tiny, as in eight inches x three feet, under our railing.. and extremely shady to boot). I still manged a crop of runner beans and nasturtiums, and a variety of other things.
Why not plant some seeds in modules ready for the garden.
Yes, you're right! I've been putting off sowing seeds in modules or growing things in pots for weeks in the hope that I'll get the garden back soon but the time has come to get things started. I'm fairly sure that the greenhouse will be up by the time things are ready to plant out so I should get some things sown indoors and in pots.
