Red robin tree

i have 6 red robin trees in my garden and we have 1 that doesn't seem to take. It has been replaced twice as it keeps dying. They are all in a line because the goal is to have a high line hedgd along the fence line, so the conditions are the same. We have fed it with mircle grow and fish blood and bone but it still seems very sorry for itself. We were not sure if it was getting too much water to when we planted the last one we put gravel at the base to supply drainage. Any advise would be greatly apprecited.

  • We have treated it the same since it was planted but the others grow new shoots and this just doesn't seem to grow at all. We have only just fed it over the weekend as it was looking on its last legs while the others are thriving. Would manure help do you think?
  • Do you think pruning it would encourage new growth. It looked fine through the winter but awful now, could it be because it was dormant through winter and only showing signs of distress now. We just don't want to lose it.
